Brazilian accessories label Zibba makes its debut with its zippered hobo that won top billing at the Independent Handbag Designer awards. Helmed by Alice Tapajós, the aptly titled label (zibba means “creativity” in indigenous Brazilian) goes heavy on the accoutrements with zippers running vertically all around and extra convertible straps with two buckles to each end.

Who would have thunk that fading into the background could be so stylish? Stella McCartney mixes military with utility for a fatigues-inspired print of brown, tan, and cream splotches. A belted waist and some strappy sandals polish off the disguise.

Just take a look at his psychedelic-meets-geometric collection and you’ll know that Aussie designer Josh Goot doesn’t shy away from colors. Looking like wearable optical illusions, his print of choice this season is a red, orange, lime, lavender, and turquoise color block made of trapezoidal shapes. Brave the rainbow color palette and mimic his head-to-toe runway look, or keep the geometry without the bevy of hues in a gradated black, grey and white version.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen remake 70s-inspired bell bottoms to mimic a vintage store worthy find. The medium wash jeans are unraveled at the hem for an extra worn look. One of three jeans from the newly launched TEXTILE line, the jeans take inspiration from 70s music icons a la Jimi Hendrix.

Siblings Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen venture into denim territory with the launch of their 3-piece TEXTILE line. A new addition to the Elizabeth and James label, the blue jeans take inspiration from 70s music icons at least when it comes to their names. Dubbed the Joni (as in Mitchell), this cropped pair is whiskered at the waist and frayed at the edges. Fitted through the leg, it kicks out just above the ankle. The better to display your footwear.

Out of the Blue

Take a denim cue from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen whose newest jean line makes its debut today at Intermix. Their first foray into denim came from years of hands on research dating back to their teenage days. Inspired by an actual pair of jeans the two have owned and worn since high school, the flared Stevie is faded at the knees with darker patches at the front that mimic pockets. At the rear sits a pair of actual pockets that sit atop darker patches.

Spring means the return of the LWD after a long winter’s hibernation. This feminine maritime version from See by Chloé melds ruffles and eyelets with nautical stripes. The cotton shift has faint floral embroidery with clusters of eyelets serving as the blooms along the whole of the dress. Its frill factor comes from ruffled straps and thin strips of ruffled trim that sandwich striped bands of fabric.
