Having already conquered the menswear and footwear fronts, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are adding another slash to their ever growing contemporary label. The project crunching sisters (the two are weeks away from their inaugural fashion week presentation and just launched junior label Olsenboye) are venturing into casualwear with a 3-piece denim collection which is slated to hit Intermix next month. Named after ‘70s music icons, the Textile line includes the Hendrix bell bottoms, the cropped Joni, and the dark patchwork Stevie jeans. A fun little tidbit is that all three pairs are inspired by actual jeans hanging in the duo’s closets with the Stevie hailing all the way from their high school days. We don’t know about you but anything that can survive the rocky transition from teenage adolescence to fresh-faced twentysomething deserves a permanent slot in our wardrobe rotation.
