Wren is a new line designed by Melissa Coker, who has this really interesting inspiration going on... everything from Dickens to Fitzgerald to "lost girls" and ingenues. Joie's fall 2009 collection is inspired by the "renegade bohemian," and that bohemian definitely needs ruggedly chic combat style boots for her fall voyages. They are a great way to add downtown edge to your mix. You can of course wear them with jeans, but don't overlook the chance to pair them with tights and fall knits for a new look.
